With a sustained performance of excellence Collingwood has won the Australian Football League (AFL) grand final replay over St Kilda, Australia's media reported on Sunday.
According to Australia Associated Press (AAP), the Australian rules football club, Collingwood, crowned a dominant season on Saturday with a crushing 16.12 (108) to 7.10 (52) victory over St Kilda in front of 93,853 fans in the grand final replay at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).
It was the Collingwood's 15th premiership, and first since 1990.
It provides Collingwood coach Mick Malthouse with a third, golden moment in the twilight of his career, 16 years after he claimed the second of his premierships as West Coast coach in 1994.
"I just think it is fantastic to win, just for the players, everyone who works at the club and supports the club," Malthouse told AAP.
"It is a great relief."
The 2010 AFL grand final on last Saturday ended in an incredible draw after Collingwood 9.14 (68) finished level with St Kilda 10.8 (68).
