The top star Arjen Robben still has chance to join Dutch squad at the World Cup in South Africa, according to the Dutch football association KNVB.
In a statement released Sunday night, the KNVB said that Robben 's left hamstring injury isn't as bad as initially feared. "We are not sure when Arjen could fly to South Africa, but he still has chance to join the World Cup."
Local media reported, Arjen is expected to join his team later this week, which arrived in South Africa on Sunday.
"I decided not to summon any substitute for Arjen. I want to give him every chance to still participate in the World Cup," said team coach Van Marwijk.
Robben injured the hamstring in a 6-1 friendly match over Hungary on Saturday.
