Rafael Marquez, who scored the equalizer in the match against South Africa, was doubtful for Mexico's second match against France at the 2010 World Cup finals.
Marquez damaged his right calf during the World Cup opener against the host team and might sit out the match against France on Thursday.
The Barcelona defender only returned to training days before Mexico's clash with South Africa after suffering a leg muscle injury.
If he fails to be fit for the match against France, that will be a big miss for the Mexican team.
