Johannesburg - Bloemfontein Celtic coach Owen da Gama believes Bafana Bafana will face an uphill battle in their game against France at the Mangaung Stadium this afternoon, if they hope to advance past the group stages.
Da Gama thinks the team has nothing left to fight for but the three points on offer, which could help them qualify for the round of 16.
He told the Siya crew that while the real outcome will be the result between Uruguay and Mexico, Bafana Bafana needs to win to stand a chance.
“The players have to show what they are capable of doing. This is where their capability as players comes to test. I think the coaches have done what they could do and it’s time of reckoning for the players. They have to stand up and fight until the end. It is their game,” Da Gama said.
Da Gama added that the goals that they need to score seem too much but they can achieve it.
