Turin - Italy's World Cup squad were booed over the weekend by fans in Turin who were upset that the players had refused to stop and sign autographs.
Supporters, some shouting "shame", turned on Marcello Lippi's Azzurri as they boarded a bus destined for their pre-World Cup training camp in the alpine resort of Sestieres.
The world champions will prepare for South Africa at their altitude base in the Italian Alps until June 5.
They face Mexico in a warm-up friendly in Brussels on June 3 and Switzerland in Geneva two days later.
The four time World Cup winners are scheduled to arrive in South Africa on June 9 ahead of their Group F opener with Paraguay in Cape Town on June 14.
They then face New Zealand in Nelspruit on June 20 before rounding off their group campaign against Slovakia in Johannesburg on June 24.
