Most ticket prices for Manchester United's home games will go up by one pound next season.
The club said yesterday that the most expensive tickets for a Premier League match at Old Trafford next season will be 50 pounds (US$82), while the cheapest seats will sell for 28 pounds, compared to 49 and 27 pounds this campaign.
That's an increase of 3.7 percent for the cheapest tickets, which United pointed out is still lower than the 6.5-percent hike announced by Arsenal. United said the increase is because of the hike in Britain's so-called value added tax, which was lifted from 17.5 percent to 20 percent on Jan. 4.
