Fernando Alonso believes Ferrari's chances of winning the European Grand Prix are slim despite the two-time Formula One champion saying he has never driven better.
Alonso described Ferrari's season so far as "very bad," with the team yet to win and the Spaniard sitting 92 points behind leader Sebastian Vettel. The Red Bull driver has won five of seven races.
Alonso says he has driven "the best seven races of my life" this season but bad luck has cost Ferrari.
Vettel's teammate, Mark Webber, returns to Valencia after flipping his car through the air in a spectacular crash in last year's race.
Webber says the "nasty" incident is forgotten as he looks forward to Sunday's 57-lap race around Valencia street circuit.
