The future of Brazil star Neymar is to be left on hold until after the Copa America opener amid rumors linking him with a move to Spain or England, media reports said on Wednesday.
Neymar, fresh from winning the Copa Libertadores with Santos, has been linked for months with Chelsea and Real Madrid but media site G1 quoted his agent Wagner Ribeiro as saying there would be no news until August.
"Everything will be resolved in August, towards the end of the transfer window. Although Real Madrid or any other club would pay the buyout clause (of $64 million) the decision is down to the player," he said.
"When the Copa America is over the player will make an announcement on the issue," Ribeiro was quoted as saying, adding that Neymar hoped to play for Santos at the FIFA Club World Cup in December.
