Former Spain international winger Iker Muniain could leave Argentine side San Lorenzo to join Brazil's Botafogo, according to media reports.
The 31-year-old is tied to the Buenos Aires outfit until December next year but has a clause in his contract that would allow him to leave in January, Infobae reported on Wednesday.
It said that San Lorenzo could be tempted to accept the offer to help ease growing financial difficulties.
Botafogo, who also won Brazil's Serie A title this year, views Muniain as an ideal option to bolster the team's attacking options, the report added.
Muniain has made 14 appearances and scored three goals for San Lorenzo since joining the club from Athletic Bilbao in September.
