A disputed refereeing decision led to chaos and a suspension in
a semifinal of the Chinese women's basketball league on
Thursday.
The frenzy happened in the dying moments of the match between
Liaoning Hengye and Shenyang Budui after the technical delegate
annulled Liaoning's last shot that could have helped Liaoning win
the game 71-69.
The revise enraged the home supporters. The score was reset at
69-69 and the game was suspended after furious fans threw bottles
on the court.
The game resumed after spectators were appeased and Liaoning won
79-75 in overtime at last.
