China's auto market witnessed the highest annual sales in the history of the global automobile industry in 2010 with domestic auto sales reaching 18.06 million units, far surpassing those of the United States for a second consecutive year.
Apart from overseas auto brands, China's independently-developed car brands have also enjoyed growing favor among buyers.
China.org.cn compiled a list of China's Top 10 Best-Selling Sedans, based on official data from China Association of Automobile Manufactures. These top 10 sedan represented about 23 percent of the total sedan sales in the domestic market.
Volkswagen Bora
Produced by FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Company, the car is based on the Golf/Jetta Mk4. Priced between 107,800-147,800 yuan($16,280-22,321) the Bora sold 172,500 times in China in 2010.
