Qinghefang Ancient Street, located in central Hangzhou, has been the place to go for shopping and dining since ancient times. It is one of the oldest streets, as well as the only well-preserved historic street, in the city.
Even in the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279), Qinghefang was considered the city's center of politics, culture and commerce, with numerous shops, restaurants and teahouses. Today, it is still a prosperous business area. You can find many famous century-old shops and restaurants in this ancient street, such as the Wangxingji Fan Store, Zhangxiaoquan Scissors, Wanlong Ham Stack, Huqingyutang Pharmacy, Baohetang Pharmacy, Zhuangyuan Noodle Restaurant and Wangruixing Restaurant.
Buy your family or friends some gifts and try the local cuisine here, as it is the perfect place to experience both the historical and cultural character of Hangzhou.
