Established in 1621
The Zur letzten Instanz was an East Berlin eatery before it was founded in 1621. With rich history, it has served a great number of international dignitaries including Napoleon, Beethoven and Angela Merkel. The building is a block from the historic Berlin Wall, being one of the few remaining houses that adjoined the old town wall. The building was rebuilt in 1963 after extensive damage from the Second World War.
