The 2nd Cherry Blossom Tourism and Culture Festival is set to open from March 30 to April 15 near the Phoenix Lake Holiday Resort, Qingbaijiang district in Chengdu, Sichuan Province.
The opening ceremony will be on March 29 and there will be grand artistic performances joined by many pop stars to give a magnificent visual feast. An activity called "One-hour Snapshots of Cherry Blossom Festival" will be held on the same day and tourists can use their cellphones to take photos and win prizes.
King Tom Clown Troupe from US will participate in the festival and audiences will get in close touch with actors and their clown art performances. Besides, starlet art show, blind date activity and European freestyle wrestling competition will be put on.
The closing ceremony will be presented in form of ‘Rock Music Festival’ and the Phoenix Lake will be a good stage to house the Rock Music Festival joined by top rock bands in the Chinese mainland.
