Tencent, the parent company of China's largest instant messaging service QQ, has signed an agreement to incorporate Qunar.com's travel search engine into its WebQQ service.
The new service allows WebQQ users to search directly for air tickets and hotels — instead of logging in Qunar.com. In addition users are able to share their travel information with their friends on Tencent's other social networks such as Tencent micro-blog and Qzone.
The partnership between third-party developer Qunar and Tencent is intended to make it more convenient for users to search for travel information and share their travel experiences with their friends.
The two parties are likely to launch further cooperative ventures as they aim to provide users with more convenient online travel services and more choices.
