The photo shows an exhibit at the Guyuan Museum in Guyuan, located in southern Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. Established in 1983, the museum has more than 100 key national cultural relics in its collection and features an exhibition hall, an ancient tomb hall and a stone inscription hall. Old Guyuan sat at a vital pass on the eastern section of the ancient Silk Road. Thus, the cultural relics unearthed there represent a cultural diversity which blends characteristics of Central Asia and the West. [Wang Yanfang/China.org.cn]
