This aerial photo taken on June 5, 2023 shows a view of the Tuotuo River at the source region of the Yangtze River, China's longest river, in northwest China's Qinghai Province. The 6,300-kilometer Yangtze River, the longest river in China and the third longest in the world, has three sources, namely the Tuotuo River, the Damqu River in the south and the Qumar River in the north.
Located in the hinterland of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau between the Kunlun Mountains and the Tanggula Mountains, the Yangtze River source region, with an average elevation of more than 4,500 meters, features spectacular scenery and rich biodiversity. It also has one of the most abundant water resources in the world. (Xinhua/Zhang Hongxiang)
