The city of Yinchuan in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region has phased out 2.305 tons of outdated capacities since 2011. A total of 30 enterprises in cement, coke, tanning, lead smelting, papermaking, iron alloy and other industries?across the city have reduced energy consumption totaling 515,100 tons of standard coal during the same period.
At the same time, Yinchuan has enhanced the development of new energy, bio-medicine, textile, solar energy, Muslim goods and other industries of low energy consumption. It has also strengthened supervision on enterprises of high energy consumption and pollution to ensure the accomplishment of the target set in the 12th Five-Year Plan.
