A total of 36 kinds of Chinese wines won medals at the prestigious international wine competition the Concours Mondial de Bruxelles in 2016, which was concluded in Bulgaria on May 6. Among them, 16 kinds of wines were from Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.
Being one of the four most influential wine competitions in the world, the 23rd session of the competition kicked off in Plovdiv on April 29, featuring 8750 kinds of wines from 51 countries. Some eight and twenty-seven kinds of Chinese produced wines won gold and silver medals respectively during the competition and 16 kinds among them were produced at the eastern piedmont of the Helan Mountains in Ningxia.
