The facade of the Poland Pavilion is decorated with flowery cut-outs wooden materials designed to reflect Polish folk art (paper cut-outs) and able to be repeatably assembled, in the World Expo in Shanghai, east China, on May 1, 2010. The low-carbon concept prevails in the Shanghai World Expo. Facade design of pavilions in the World Expo Park presents characteristic low-carbon details in accordence with materials, functions and cultural backgrounds. Advanced scientific technology achievements, especially the recognition and efforts to realize the very issue of environmental protection, are utilized for the low-carbon facade designs.
