The Japan National Tourist Organization has announced that it will cooperate with Visit Japan Campaign to hold the Yokoso! Japan Weeks 2009 campaign from January 20 2009 to February 28 2009.
There are four themes for YJW2009: "Hands-on Experience Sightseeing", offering tourists an opportunity to have a firsthand experience of Japanese culture and art; "Enjoy Shopping"; "Regional Features"; and a festivals discount, including a wide range of Japanese traditional festivals and cuisine events.
In addition, Japanese hotels, restaurants, stores, transportation facilities, art galleries, and museums will also offer various discounts and commemorative gifts for overseas tourists. In particular, Chinese tourists will be provided with a brochure in Chinese giving information on all kinds of discount available during the period of YJW2009.
