When it comes to dominant Chinese athletes, you would be hard pressed to find someone more dominant than diving queen Guo Jingjing. Once again, she has won gold in the women's 3m springboard at the National Games. Even though Guo is fighting a neck injury, she was still the class of the event as she claimed her 3rd consecutive 3m gold at the National Games.
This year marks Guo jingjing's 5th tour of the National Games.
Guo topped the standings after round one, with her closest competition coming from old partner Wu Minxia from the Shanghai team, and team Guangdong's He Zi.
Guo though, would enlarge her advantage after every round. Before the last dive, Guo had already amassed a comfortable 20 point lead.
She went on to win the title by 25 points over second place Wu Minxia. He Zi was third.
Guo, simply incredible once again.
Meanwhile, in the men's 10m synchronized platform, Beijing's pair Lin Yue and Cao Yuan were golden. The two headed into the final in second place after qualification.
But in the final, they led right from the beginning and would not look back as the Beijing duo claimed the gold.
