Of those, more than 14-hundred are in a serious condition. Rescuers have expanded the search area in the hunt for survivors. Some 30 thousand tents and 50 thousand blankets have been sent to the quake zone. Qinghai authorities say the province has so far received donations totaling more than 400 million yuan in cash, along with 180 million yuan worth of materials. The 7.1-magnitude earthquake affected an area of about 30 thousand square kilometers and a population of 100 thousand.
