Manchester United midfielder Park Ji-Sung insists his Korea Republic side are capable of defeating Argentina when the unbeaten Group B rivals clash on Thursday at the 2010 FIFA World Cup.
Argentina, one of the sides tipped to lift the trophy in the final on 11th July, were impressive in their 1-0 win over Nigeria in Johnannesburg on Saturday, while Korea Republic enjoyed a 2-0 win over Greece.
After their comfortable 2-0 win over Greece, South Korea know that they are in a great position to progress to the knockout stages of the 2010 World Cup.
But a good result in their next match against Argentina could even see them eventually top Group B.
Once again the key could be the performance of their captain Park Ji-Sung, who was an inspiration to his team against the Greeks.
His performance was in marked contrast to some of the others expected to shine, but Park believes he knows why.
Park Ji- Sung, South Korea striker said, "Well, this season is over and I think the best players are all tired. I can say that I rested well and my training sessions have been good so far. I'm fine if you ask me about physical condition. I'm very well prepared."
Diego Maradona, Argentina coach said, "With all my respect you don't have a Messi in your team. South Korea plays very compacted and strong. They are fast with a good team, very respect-worthy but we are going out to beat them."
