The Three Gorges Reservoir has increased its discharge volume as a severe flood peak is forming on the upper reaches of the Yangtze River. The world's largest dam now sees its highest water levels.
Located on the provincial border of Hubei Province with Chongqing municipality, the world's largest dam is expected to experience a peak flow of up to 70-thousand cubic meters per second.
Less than a day before the coming of the biggest peak to reach the dam at 8 am Tuesday morning, discharge was raised.
