The DPRK has urged the US to stop its joint military maneuvers with South Korea. The DPRK side made the appeal on Friday at the second round of DPRK-US colonel-level talks held at Panmunjom.
The DPRK side says the US has been persisting in anti-DPRK military operations, which could create a war-like situation on the peninsula.
It also urges the US to unconditionally receive its "Cheonan" case inspection group, saying its investigation is a precondition of resuming DPRK-US general-level talks and improving north-south relations.
The DPRK has offered a concrete program over dispatching the investigation group, saying it would be made up of 20 to 30 members and the investigation would last for three to five days. The third round of colonel-level talks are set to be held at Panmunjom on July the 29th.
