The Venice Film Festival is a little short on star power this year. But its Festival Director Marco Mueller hopes to make up for it by taking the event down a new path.
The world's oldest film festival is looking for new directions. Mueller made the announcement on Tuesday, one day before the 67th Venice film festival kicks.
Marco Muller, Festival Director, said, "Probably this year we feel that somehow we have been moving forward but with no directions. And that is a change, of course. It's not that we lack a sense of direction. We tried to follow cinema where it was going and we found out that the new spectrum is much more intricate and varied that what we had originally thought."
