Ever thought of turning your DNA pattern into a portrait?
For several hundred dollars, a California company will take your DNA and realize your dream.
What Yonder Biology company does is to turn your DNA code into something you can hang on your wall.
Customers use a sterile cotton swab to collect their own cheek cells, and then send the sample to Yonder Biology.
There, the DNA from the swab is isolated, then extracted and amplified. The digital image of the DNA profile is transferred to a computer, and printed out.
Customers can choose between the colors and finishes.
For Andy Bass and Dean Sauer, the two artistic scientists, or scientific artists who started Yonder Biology, the DNA wave is coming and this growing business has become a part of their DNA.
