Russian President Dmitry Medvedev will pay an official visit to China on Sunday. He will meet with Chinese leaders. 15 cooperation agreements are expected to be signed during the visit. Russian ambassador Sergei Razov tells us more about the event.
Sergei Razov, Russian Ambassador to China, said, "The Russian President's visit to China and the meeting of the top leaders will enhance cooperation between the two countries. We also expect the two sides to sign a series of important documents, besides the joint statement on the 65th anniversary of the victory of World War II.
The two countries will sign 15 agreements covering trade, energy and other fields. The energy cooperation is an important part of the Russia-China economic partnership. The Russian President will visit three Chinese cities. It's the first time in the diplomatic history of the two countries. It shows the recognition of the Russian government and the President himself of the significance of Russia-China relations."
