A TV cameraman was detected with Taiwan's first case of a multi-drug resistant bacteria commonly known as the "superbug".
Local disease control authorities, say this man was one of the two, from Taiwan, shot and wounded last month in India. It's believed, he picked up the "superbug" while being treated in New Delhi. Though tests confirm he's carrying the bacteria, he hasn't developed any symptoms.
He's recovering well and was thus discharged from hospital. Taiwan health authorities, say, he was strictly monitored during the his journey from India to the island... and have ruled out any risks of the superbug spreading.
