During his stay in Brussels, Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao once again called on the European Union to remove the arms embargo against China.

He said the China-EU summit should play its role in promoting an end to the arms embargo to pave the way for deeper ties. China has long been asking the EU to lift the embargo, which was imposed in 1989. China has said the embargo represents political prejudice against China.
