Many Shanghai residents have been gathering this weekend at the site of the November 15th high-rise blaze on Jiaozhou Road which killed 58 people. They lay bundles of flowers on the road to send their blessings to the deceased.

A carpet of flower stretching dozens of meters was intended to show people's endless sorrow over the deaths. At the Shanghai Blood Center, people have been donating blood for the patients hospitalized by the fire. Medical workers at the center said when there was an emergency, Shanghai residents could be counted on to come and donate blood.
