And talking about year-end Chinese films, another blockbuster is coming soon...Actor-turned-director Jiang Wen is releasing his new project "Let the Bullets Fly" on Thursday. The Director has expressed great confidence in the film's box office appeal.
With a budget of 18 million dollars, the movie "Let the Bullets Fly" is described as an action-comedy. It centers around a western Chinese bandit gang during the period of regional division in the warring 1920s.
It stars well-known actors Ge You and Chow Yun-Fat, both of whom have a huge fan base. Jiang Wen himself also co-stars as a bandit who proclaims himself mayor of a remote provincial town.
The movie contains elements of a thriller, with suspense and black humor.
It is the fourth offering from Jiang, the director of "The Sun Also Rises."
