The US special envoy to the DPRK, Stephen Bosworth, has landed in Beijing after his visit to South Korea. China is the second leg of his East Asia tour where he is seeking to coordinate issues regarding the six-party nuclear talks.
Bosworth and Chinese officials are expected to exchange views on the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the re-opening of the talks. China has long called for the resumption of the negotiations and expressed a willingness to play a constructive role.
Bosworth's Asian tour, which will also include Japan, is expected to give the long-stalled multilateral talks momentum to solve the nuclear issues with the DPRK.
