"The Green Hornet" is Jay Chou's first American film.

The role of Kato made Bruce Lee a star in the United States and while filling those shoes can be daunting Chou said he had to be himself in the role.

Jay Chou said, "No matter who plays new Kato it would be nerve racking because Bruce Lee is a legend. And I tried it my way. My way is music. So I put some music in my Kato."

The film is also French director Michel Gondry's first big Hollywood blockbuster.

The Green Hornet opens around the United States on January 17.
