A railway collision in eastern Germany late Saturday evening killed 10 people and injured at least 35 others.
A passenger train and a cargo train crashed head-on near Hordorf village, close to Saxony-Anhalt's state capital of Magdeburg.
Several carriages carrying some 45 passengers derailed and overturned. The noise of the collision was heard seven kilometers from the crash site.
Rescue operations were still under way early Sunday. There's no immediate information about the cause of the accident.
