UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, has urged Egyptian leaders to listen to the calls of their people.

Ban said on Sunday he and the United Nations had been working very closely with the Egyptian government hoping the leaders of Egypt would listen to their people "more attentively, more seriously and more sincerely."

Ban Ki-moon also said the international community would like to see the transition in Egypt take place in an orderly and peaceful manner. And it's important this transition has no negative or sudden impact on the overall peace and stability of the region.
