A local doctor says 31 people have been killed, after Friday's fighting between Muammar Gaddafi's forces and rebels in Misrata. Over 110 people are injured.
Rebels on the front-line in the western suburb of Misrata, say Gaddafi forces have been shelling with Grad missiles. They say pro-Gaddafi forces also shelled their positions in the Western Mountains region on Thursday night, and accuse NATO of not doing enough to stop them.
Fighting has been deadlocked for weeks between the eastern towns of Ajdabiyah and the Gaddafi-held oil town of Brega. Rebels also control the western city of Misrata and the range of Western Mountains near the Tunisian border.
