Protesters in that country have also staged rallies against China in recent weeks, while a Vietnamese exploration vessel dragged a Chinese fishing boat through the water. That action endangered the fisherman's safety.
Beijing has reiterated its sovereignty over the South China Sea, and criticized Hanoi for trying to damage the nation's maritime rights. China is seeking to resolve the problems through bilateral mechanisms, and peaceful dialogue.
