Typhoon Nanmadol has landed on Southeast China's Fujian Province. In some areas, rainfall exceeded 100 millimeters within 12 hours. Strong wind and heavy rain will continue in the region for the next few days. Some rivers have risen above the warning level. Nanmadol is expected to weaken by Friday.
Wu Jinta from Fujian Flood Control Office said, "Heavy rainfall will hit cities such as Fuzhou and Ningde. Nanmadol also may trigger landfall and mudslides. The next step is to ensure preparations for disaster prevention measures, and to relocate people in areas at risk."
