James Cameron's "Titanic" rises again. The 3D version of the film has premiered at the Royal Albert Hall in London. Leading lady Kate Winslet joined director James Cameron and other stars to re-christen their smash hit tragedy.

Director James Cameron, left, and actress Kate Winslet arrive at the 'Titanic 3D' UK film premiere at the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, West London, Tuesday, March 27, 2012.

The record breaking movie is being re-released in 3D to mark the 100th anniversary of The Titanic's departure from Southampton on 10th April 1912, for its doomed maiden voyage that cost some 1,500 lives.

Cameron's class-crossing love story on board became the highest grossing movie of all time - only bumped to second place by another of his own films, "Avatar." The 1997 movie also won 11 Oscars, including best picture and best director for Cameron.

Fifteen years on, Kate Winslet is happy to be back on the red carpet for the movie that cemented her place in film history.

Kate Winslet said, "It's been a really big part of my life, it's kind of never gone away, people keep saying to me, 'How does it feel to be talking about it after 15 years?', well I've always been talking about 'Titanic,' it didn't sort of go anywhere. So, it's great that it's coming out again, in 3D, and it's wonderful too, it's still the same gorgeous film."

Kate Winslet signs autographs as she arrives at the world premiere of Titanic 3D in central London, on March 27.

The star shares the red carpet with co-stars Billy Zane, who played her disdainful fiance; her screen mother Frances Fisher; Bill Paxton, who played "Titanic" treasure hunter Brock; and, Suzy Amis Cameron, the film-maker's wife since 2000 who played the daughter of the elderly Rose. The reunion, however, does not include the film's leading man Leonardo DiCaprio, who's busy with other work.

Cameron arrived at the premiere fresh from his latest adventure - a solo dive to the deepest point on Earth. An oceanography enthusiast since childhood, the director made 33 deep-sea submersible dives to film "Titanic." He revealed his priorities on the red carpet.

James Cameron said, "The ocean comes first, filmmaking second. But if I can make films about the ocean then I'm really happy."

The 3D conversion of "Titanic" was overseen by director Cameron, producer Jon Landau and a team of 300 technicians. It will be released around the world in the beginning of April.
