At the fourth round of China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue in Beijing, US Secretary General Hillary Clinton highly praised the development of bilateral ties between China and the US. She also highlighted the US’ desire to build new relations with China as the world faces economic challenges.
Addressing the latest round of the China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue on Thursday, Hillary Clinton called on the two sides to properly manage their differences through dialogue and exchanges, by improving mutual understanding.
The coexistence of interdependence and competition has become a prominent feature of China-U.S. ties. Clinton also called on the two sides to step up cooperation that will bring mutual benefit, strengthen coordination on important regional and international issues, and promote friendship between the two peoples.
Clinton also mentioned human rights issues in China.
The fourth round of the China-US Strategic and Economic Dialogue started Thursday morning in Beijing.
It was launched in 2009 to help both nations manage their bilateral relations and promote communication.
