Airshow China starts in Zhuhai

Airshow China kicks off this morning.
The aviation exhibition features 650 companies from home and abroad, with more than 100 plane-related products on show.

The Breitling Wingwalkers Team from Europe has sent two Boeing Stearman Biplanes. Two women from the team will be performing on the planes' wings. Dozens of war planes and civil aircraft from Russia and Pakistan will also take flight during the six day air show.
China's Air Force will have the largest presence at the exhibition, with 20 planes. This includes 5 old aircrafts as well as current models, such as the JH7 long-range fighter-bomber.
China's HQ-9, also known as FD 2000, surface-to-air missile system, is one of the main highlights of the show. As part of China's new generation of medium-to-long range missiles, the HQ-9, features strong radar and air defence capabilities. Its strong command and control capabilities also allow it to coordinate with other weapons systems to form a multi-layered air defense network.
The WJ-600 medium-range high-speed drone will be shown. It can fly up to 5 hours, with a maximum flight speed of 900 kilometers per hour. Its payload capacity is estimated at 130 kilograms.
The drone has been designed to carry out various missions, including field reconnaissance, locations targeting, precision strikes and damage assessments.
Meanwhile, China's Bayi Aerobatics Team will show off the new J-10 combat aircraft and Gunship No.10, which will be making its first appearance.
