Whistleblowing website WikiLeaks has said that NSA leaker Edward Snowden has put in asylum applications to six new countries.
WikiLeaks also said on Friday that it would not be identifying the countries involved "due to attempted US interference." Meanwhile, Snowden’s bid for Icelandic citizenship also failed.
Iceland’s parliament voted not to debate it before the summer recess. The vote leaves Snowden, believed to be staying in a transit area at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo airport, with one option lesser.
Snowden has already sought asylum from more than 20 countries, including Venezuela and Ecuador. But many have said that he must be on their soil for his application to be accepted.
