Chinese Premier Li Keqiang has met with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister Hor Namhong. The meeting came as their governments wrapped-up the first coordination committee session aimed at strengthening economic ties.
The Chinese Premier said the establishment of the coordination committee had added new momentum to bilateral ties. Li noted that the Chinese government has long had friendly policies toward Cambodia that support its economic development. And he added that China hopes to further promote the two countries’ comprehensive strategic partnership.
Meanwhile, the Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister said China’s economic growth has been significant for regional peace and development. He added that the Cambodian government places heavy emphasis on its relationship with China and will look to take advantage of the coordination meetings.
