German Chancellor Angela Merkel has attended a reception, one day after cracking her pelvis during a skiing accident in the Swiss Alps.
Using a walker, Merkel moved around with young carollers at the Chancery in Berlin. Her spokesman on Monday said the chancellor first thought she had just bruised her left rear pelvic area. But later doctors determined it was an "incomplete" bone fracture.
Although she’s been ordered to rest for three weeks, the Chancellor has said she will continue presiding over Cabinet and government meetings, with the help of a walker.
