Premier Li Keqiang attended the conference and delivered a speech. The theme of the conference was to accelerate the transformation and modernization of agricultural development. Specific policies to reach that target comprise a series of reforms in the next year, including agricultural products pricing reform, farmland circulation, rural collective property right system reform, and reforms to stabilize the output of agricultural products, and increase farmers' income.
The meeting also focused on ways to make agriculture more environmentally-friendly, and enterprises are being encouraged to invest in rural infrastructure construction. So far, China's farm output and farmers' income have seen 11 consecutive years of growth.
