China lists illegal food additives

China blacklisted 151 illegal or regulated substances that have been found in food and feed over the past nine years, Xinhua reports. 新華社報(bào)道,在過(guò)去的九年里,中國(guó)已公布151種食品和飼料中違禁及濫用添加劑的名單。
The list, compiled by the State Council's food safety committee, includes 47 inedible materials likely to be illegally added to food, 22 food additives easily abused and 82 substances forbidden in feed and drinking water for animals. 這份由國(guó)務(wù)院食品安全委員會(huì)辦公室列出的名單包括47種可能在食品中“違法添加的非食用物質(zhì)”、22種“易濫用食品添加劑”和82種“禁止在飼料、動(dòng)物飲用水和畜禽水產(chǎn)養(yǎng)殖過(guò)程中使用的藥物和物質(zhì)”的名單。
Tonyred, an industrial coloring agent, and ractopamine, which is used to promote leanness in pigs, are among the materials listed. 工業(yè)用染色劑蘇丹紅以及增加豬瘦肉量的“瘦肉精”都在名單之列。

According to Chinese law, criminals producing and selling toxic or hazardous food could face a penalty as severe as the death penalty.
