United States' President Barack Obama is scheduled to visit Indonesia in mid-2010, the national news agency Antara quoted a minister as saying on Sunday.
"President Obama will visit Indonesia in the middle of 2010," said Economy Coordinating Minister Hatta Rajasa, citing a statement of Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in the Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport, without detailing the date.
The two Presidents attended the United Nations sponsored- climate change talks in Copenhagen, Denmark, last week.
Previously, local reports said that Obama was expected to visit Indonesia in November 2009 after attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) in Singapore.
However, several days before the meeting, the Presidential Spokesperson Dino Patti Djalal announced that Obama would come to Indonesia in 2010 without elaborating the date.
Yudhoyono and Obama held a bilateral meeting on the side line of the APEC forum in Singapore.
