The repatriation of the two fishermen from the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) who drifted south of the sea border has been completed Wednesday, local media reported.
The two were sent back at 2:00 p.m. local time through the truce village of Panmunjum as previously scheduled by authorities, according to Seoul's Yonhap News Agency.
Seoul's Ministry of Unification said it is early to confirm the report.
The South Korean Coast Guard rescued the drifting DPRK ship with two sailors onboard near the Dokdo, the easternmost islets lying halfway between South Korea and Japan, on last Sunday.
